The D on the letter jacket is for the Denton (TX) High School Broncos. Denton then had one high school - Denton High. Now there's four - Denton High, Ryan, Guyer, and the newest, Braswell.
There's also another Utter Ford (started by his brother, I believe), Bob Utter in Sherman, Texas.
